Riftania Updates 8/12/2024


Hello Riftanians,

I am changing the name of my game from "Rift Walker" to "Riftania"

Changes pertaining to the name change:


Once this update comes out with the title change I will likely be raising the price to 12$! I have updated it super far past what it used to be when I first set my price, I hope you all understand!

A BUNCH of dialogue is being changed around as we speak to remove references to Rift Walker

Zeke now goes by many names: Celestial of Riftania, Riftanian Celestial, Rift Celestial, Riftanian Hero/Heroes, Son of Seldarine

Zeke is now a direct son of Seldarine and related to the 3 celestial guardians, the God Dragon, The Godless Dragon, and the Omni Elemental, who were transformed by Seldarine due to a dark forbidden ritual offered by an exiled demon general of Dark Lord Xexul and turned into servants of keeping the balance between Gods and Devils, luckily Zeke survived this!

Changes in Gameplay:

New 3 minute cutscene in beginning

- Exiled Demon Weapons:

Now once you kill Demon General Boon, and his other 2 General Accomplices, they have a guaranteed drop of "Exorcised Flesh", this can now craft 6 new demon killing weapons: The Blade, Scythe, Sceptre, Tome, Bow, and Musket!

These weapons should be dealing around 50%+ more damage to demon enemies (demon enemies now have an invisible Demon category)

If you already killed the Demon General bosses, the new Demonic Altar under Zekes house will search the world for any "Lumps of Exorcised Flesh" that you missed and magically bring them to you!

- Werewolf Class:
Yup, there's already Vampires, now we have a chance to delve into Werewolves with a ton of new moves!

The quest will be fairly easy nothing too complicated, and the quest rewards the player with 1 Werewolf serum, bringing this to the Elemental Altar can unlock the Werewolf Class, much like the other sub classes!

Requirements: North Palein Continent, some fighting to kill a new boss, afterwards if you want to reliably grind the class for more characters you must have 25 Farming for the Blood and Blight Wolf, or you can grind the Serum in the Deserted Labs, or the randomly encountered new boss!

Moves:

Level 3: Bloody Bite (Already in game!)
Level 5: Double Claws
Level 8: Frost Bite
Level 8: Howl
Level 12:Poison Bite
Level 15: Shed Coat (Removes all status debuffs and buffs!)
Level 18: Parasitic Bite
Level 20: Steel Coat (Adds a massive Defense Buff to itself)
Level 25: Lunar Gaze: Buffs Dexterity 50% for 4 turns if werewolf!
Level 25: Blood Coat (Adds leech life to attacks)
Level 28: Ancestral Rejuvination (15% HP for 5 turns)
Level 30: Wolf Pack (Bunch of Bite attacks that results in bleeding and Daze)
Level 35: Cursed Gaze: Lowers enemy Mana and SE per turn
Level 40: Ancestral Gaze: Everything on a Werewolf will heal fully for 3 turns
Level 45: Full Moon: Anyone that is a werewolf class will instantly transform! Immune to Silver ailments for 5 turns!
Level 50: Blood Moon: Anyone that is a werewolf class will instantly transform! Immune to Silver for 5 turns! Blood Coat gained as well! 5 Turns!

Full and Blood Moon still dont work for the silver additional damage immunity but I will change that very imminently!

- New City:

Kal Teht, in Pikari Desert on the West coast

Features:

Wandering Merchant static location
Another Farm for Sugar Plums, Wheat, Cows, and Chickens
A dock for your boat but only accessible once you defeat the Desert Tower boss!
Kal Teht Arena: Fight humanoids in combat for Augmentations, Loot Caskets, and Smithing Tools
(more streamlined way to farm Augmentations)
Marketplace with Jeweler, Blacksmith, Bank, General Store

OTHER CHANGES:

Fertilizer added to game, 2 obtainable in Rifthaven Farm, 2 in Kal Teht, and 2 from the Elven Construction Company
Added Levitate to low level Mage, can cause Daze 25%


FILES:

I have even tested that changing the game folder from Rift_Walker to Riftania breaks the game and it seems to not break the game for existing saves!

If you actually have to change the file locations follow below, I am unsure how it works on Steam as this is my first time changing a file folder, but testing it didn't break anything in my test runs!

The only thing I would recommend potentially before updating is going into your steam games -> Rift Walker -> Rift_Walker -> www -> saves

and copy the files inside "saves" somewhere rememberable,

and once the game updates to Riftania, if the saves are missing just drag the old saves you have into the "www" -> "save" folder, if there isnt a "save" folder bc its a fresh download, just add a "save" folder into "www" and add the files
